42nd Street & The Horsfall
42nd Street is a Manchester youth mental-health charity supporting people aged 11–25 through counselling, wellbeing groups and creative programmes. The Horsfall is its Ancoats-based arts venue offering exhibitions and creative activities that use art and heritage to support young people’s wellbeing.
What we offer
Creative Arts Sessions / Workshops
drop-in or scheduled arts, painting, music, writing, movement / dance sessions aimed at supporting wellbeing, self-expression and social connection.
Gallery Exhibitions & Heritage-Inspired Shows
rotating exhibitions, performances, art & heritage-inspired shows at The Horsfall, open to the public and young people, supporting expression and community engagement.
Peer-Support & Wellbeing Groups
structured groups for mental-health & emotional support (e.g. for LGBTQ+ youth, care-experienced young people, refugees, etc.), combining therapy, peer support, creative expression and social spaces.
One-to-One or Specialist Mental Health Support
confidential counselling, referrals, assessments and support services for individuals who need help with mental health, trauma, self-harm, anxiety, depression and related issues.
Meeting / Venue Hire & Community-Use Space
The Horsfall space can be used for hire, community events, workshops, group gatherings — enabling community-led events, social programmes, and youth-driven creative projects.
